The Government Commercial Agency (GCA, formerly Crown Commercial Service) Public Sector Software Solution framework is being billed as the 'one to rule them all' for public sector sfotware requirements.
The GCA are the largest procurement body in the UK and promote their frameworks to all government departments nationally.
This agreement will run for 4 years to the tune of an £8billion spend, and has already consolidated several existing (and soon to expire) frameworks for example Back Office Software (RM6285), Vertical Application Solutions (RM6259), and Big Data and Analytics (RM6195).
Key customers will be central government departments, NHS, education, police fire and rescue, and local authorities.
The agreement is tailored for all manner of software services, like on-premise, cloud, or hybrid solutions, large-scale enterprise solutions, vertical and specialist solutions, and Ai-powered software.
The Procurement Act 23 will see to it that the framework is SME friendly, and will provide opportunities for all sizes of UK businesses, as well as the option to award contracts without comeptition.
